Medical Procedures Unit (MPU)

The Medical Procedures Unit is located in University Hospital and is equipped with cutting-edge gastroenterology equipment to support patient care and clinical research.

Faculty perform more than 15,000 procedures annually, including routine colonoscopies, balloon assisted endoscopy and ERCP to name a few. In addition to the Medical Procedures Unit our faculty also perform select procedures at various Michigan Medicine health centers throughout Southeast Michigan.
