Integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency

The University of Michigan Integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency is built on a foundation of excellence derived from our history as the first thoracic surgery training program in the country.

Our program offers exposure to all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery and trainees are exposed to a broad spectrum of clinical pathology.

We have a consistently high volume of procedures performed by world leaders in the field, which provides ample opportunities for exposure to complex cases.

Our program is on the cutting edge of research in basic science, health services, and translational research.

We continuously work to ensure that our cardiothoracic surgery residency program offers the best environment for developing future leaders of cardiothoracic practice and science.
